Xiaomi Philippines recently announced that it would bring new devices next week, including a new member of the Mi Note 10 series. The company has already released in the country the Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro back in December. That leaves us with the Mi Note 10 Lite, which was announced in April. So, if you’re thinking of upgrading to this series, which one should you get? Let’s find out in this specs comparison.

What’s different?

The three devices almost have identical specs, with the same screens, glass protection, processor, GPU, battery, and other features. They’re different, however, in the following aspects which can affect your decision on which device to get:

Cameras

The Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro sport identical penta-rear cameras that are more powerful than the ones found on the Mi Note 10 Lite. There’s the 1080MP primary sensor with OIS, the 12MP portrait with 2x optical zoom, 20MP ultra-wide, 5MP telephoto camera that is capable of 50X digital zoom, and a 2MP macro. It’s a more versatile shooter compared to the Mi Note 10 Lite’s 64MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide, 5MP depth, and 2MP macro.

When it comes to selfies, the Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro also has the advantage of having a higher resolution 32MP shooter, compared to the Mi Note 10 Lite’s 16MP.

RAM

Although they use the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset, the three devices are offered with different RAM capacities. The Mi Note 10 is only offered in 6GB LPDDR4x, while the Mi Note 10 Pro is only offered in 8GB LPDDR4x. This is where things get interesting as the Mi Note 10 Lite is offered in both 6GB and 8GB LPDDR4x RAM.

Storage

The Mi Note 10 Lite also maintained that versatility when it comes to storage as it is offered in 64GB and 128GB models. The Mi Note 10, on the other hand, only has 128GB, while the Mi Note 10 Pro only has 256GB.

OS

The Mi Note 10 Lite is relatively new and already comes with MIUI 11 based on Android 10, out of the box. The Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro, on the other hand, launched with MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie, but you will be able to upgrade it once the MIUI 11 update rolls out.

Colors

The Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro come in Aurora Green, Glacier White, and Midnight Black colors. The Mi Note 10 Lite, however, is offered in Nebula Purple, Glacier White, and Midnight Black. If you’re a fan of purple, the latter is the only option.

Price

The Mi Note 10 is now priced at PHP 25,490, while the Mi Note 10 Pro is at PHP 29,990. The price of the Mi Note 10 Lite will be released next week, but we can expect it to be lower than the first two.

Which one is for you?

If you have a PHP 30K budget and want the best of what this series can offer, go for the Mi Note 10 Pro.

If you want the specs of the Pro model but don’t need the extra RAM and storage, there’s the standard Mi Note 10. That should also save you a few bucks.

The Mi Note 10 Lite is for those who want to be flexible with their budget, thanks to the extra RAM and storage configurations. Although it only has a quad-rear camera setup, the configuration is still good and versatile in today’s standards.
