Two of the highly-anticipated midrange phones have finally made their way to the Philippines.

But literally just a day after its release, Realme Philippines also outed the Realme 6 Pro in the country, alongside the more affordable Realme 6.

Much like the former, this device attempts to be a top contender in the sub-Php16k price segment. Whether you’re a gamer, productivity junkie, or just a casual user, you can’t go wrong with this device.

As you can see, the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite and Realme 6 Pro were neck and neck in the specs comparison table above. Both devices prove that they’re worth every penny that you’d be paying for them.

But the question is, which one should you get? Let’s digest them one by one and discuss why one is better than the other.

Let’s start with the Mi Note 10 Lite. With its slightly higher price (for 8GB/128GB), you can definitely get a few extra premium features out of here.

For one, it uses an AMOLED panel instead of IPS. This screen offers more vibrant colors, deeper contrast, and enables the device’s HDR 10 support and the in-display fingerprint scanner. It’s also curved in the sides, which makes it look really premium for its price.

Xiaomi’s bet also has a much larger 5,260mAh battery, versus the 4,300mAh capacity on the 6 Pro. You can easily get through an entire day with this much juice, with a couple more left for the next day.

On paper, the Snapdragon 730G processor of the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite looks superior to the Snapdragon 720G of the Realme 6 Pro. However, the latter is actually a newer chipset and uses the same Adreno 618 GPU. A couple of benchmarks and performance reviews show that the two deliver an unnoticeable difference in day-to-day performance and gaming.

Another lead that the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite has over the Realme 6 Pro is its optical image stabilizer for its main 64-megapixel main camera. This lets you take steady videos and cleaner low-light photos. However, that doesn’t easily mean that the Mi Note 10 Lite has the better set of cameras.

Now, let’s segue into what makes the Realme 6 Pro is a better option.

It may lack OIS, but it use an identical 64-megapixel main camera. It also provides better flexibility with its 12-megapixel telephoto lens that can do 2x of optical, great for portraits, and up to 20x of digital zoom. It also has a secondary 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera on the front for group shots.

The Mi Note 10 Lite does have a more vibrant screen, but the Realme 6 Pro comes with a larger 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS screen with a faster 90Hz refresh rate. This will make using the device visually smooth and seamless.

Realme is also giving you a chance to expand the memory via the microSD card slot on the Realme 6 Pro. A privilege that you don’t have on the Mi Note 10 Lite.

The bottom line is, the decision is now up to you. If you want a premium midrange device with a curved and vibrant screen for binge-watching Netflix, large battery life, and fancy features like UD fingerprint scanner and an IR blaster, then go with the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite. It may lack a telephoto lens, but you can get better images with its OIS — a rare find on devices at this price.

But if you want to experience the 90Hz display craze, have an extra ultra-wide front camera for group shots, a telephoto lens for portraits and zooming, and the ability to expand the storage later on, then the flexibility provided by the Realme 6 Pro might suit you better.

For Php16,990, the Mi Note 10 Lite offers the base 6GB/64GB configuration while the Realme 6 Pro offers 8GB/128GB. But in case you want more memory and storage, the Mi Note 10 Lite is available in 8GB/128GB for a more expensive Php18,990 price tag.
