vivo unveiled its latest flagships, the vivo X60 and vivo X60 Pro, in China. The duo comes equipped with Samsung’s new Exynos 1080 chipset, Zeiss optics, and gimbal technology.
According to reports, there are supposed to be three handsets. The vivo X60 Pro Plus will join the vanilla and Pro variant on a later date, sometime January 2021.
As you could have guessed, the new vivo X60 series focuses on photography with its latest partnership with Zeiss.
The vivo X60 and X60 Pro is coming to China first. There’s no news on when it will launch globally.
The vivo X60 comes in three models — 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB. It is priced at CNY 3,498, CNY 3,798, and CNY 3,998, respectively. Converted, that’s around Php 25,800, Php 28,000, and Php 29,500.
The vivo X60 Pro, on the other hand, only comes in 12GB + 256GB priced at CNY 4,498, or roughly Php 33,100.
When it comes to looks, the vivo X60 series resembles its predecessor, the X50 Pro. It maintains its sleek profile with a thin frame sporting a thickness of just 7.36 mm.
The two phones have similar specs, save for a couple of differences. The vivo X60 has three rear cameras, namely a 48MP main, a 13MP ultra-wide, and a 13MP for depth. The X60 Pro adds a fourth shooter, an 8MP periscope telephoto that offers up to 5x optical zoom. Both devices come with a second-gen gimbal for image stabilization, which worked really well for the vivo X50 Pro.

The X60 comes in three configurations — 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB. While the X60 Pro only comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The vivo X60 series also debuts vivo’s latest operating system, OriginOS. It features a customizable home-screen, with apps looking like tiles or widgets across the screen.
As for the battery, the standard model has a 4,300mAh capacity with the Pro variant sporting a slightly smaller 4,200mAh. Both have 33-watt wired fast charging.
That’s it for the vivo X60 and X60 Pro for now. We’ll have to wait and see if it shows up in the Philippines.
