NVIDIA, in partnership with Hyundai Motors Corp. Group has recently announced that 2022 future Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis lineup models will be powered with NVIDIA DRIVE in-vehicle infotainment systems (IVI). The AI platform will be available across the brand’s entry-level to premium vehicles.
Future models with the NVIDIA DRIVE platform bring in enhanced in-vehicle AI user experience to its users, featuring audio, video, navigation, connectivity, and AI-enhanced connected car services.
NVIDIA’s partnership with Hyundai Motor Group can be traced back to 2015. Among its first vehicle to feature the NVIDIA DRIVE are the Genesis GV80 and G80.
Both companies have also collaborated to create an advanced digital cockpit that is scheduled to roll out in late 2021.
The latest initiative further brings the partnership with Hyundai Motor Group, standardizing NVIDIA DRIVE on its entire fleet of vehicles. This marks the automaker’s commitment to supporting future apps and features. NVIDIA will enable Hyundai Motor Group to roll out its new connected car operating system (ccOS) across future models. Developed by Hyundai Motor Group’s team, the new ccOS will bring together the large amount of data generated by the vehicle and its network of sensors and external connected car data centers. This provides more convenience for the driver and passengers.
The ccOS also incorporates an integrated architecture for a new connected car service platform (ccSP), an open platform that enables a wide range of partners to provide relevant services to owners.
Hyundai Motor Group will announce more details about the upcoming IVI and ccOS capabilities soon. Stay tuned to our page for more updates.
