Do you have money to spare? Why not treat yourself to a Xiaomi Mi Transparent TV, which has been subtly introduced in the Philippines.
In its November-December 2020 brochure, the Xiaomi Mi Transparent TV has been listed with a whopping price of Php450,000. Albeit, it’s still in Coming Soon status. So if you already have the money, keep it aside for a little while.
For a quick recap, this is the very first mass-produced transparent TV in the market. When turned off, it appears like regular see-through glass. The magic happens when you turn it on.
The images are projected in a special 55-inch transparent OLED panel, with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, DCI-P3 color, 120Hz refresh rate, MEMC technology, and runs on MIUI 3.0 TV.
So, what is this TV for? It would sure look cool in your entertainment system, but the transparent technology should be more suitable for storefronts and other industrial use. The panel itself is only 5.7mm thick, with a substantially large base for the electronics and audio.
The Mi Transparent TV should be available in Authorized Mi Store in the future. If you think it’s not too practical, you can check the less ludicrous Redmi 98-inch Smart TV for Php220,000.
