AMD’s Ryzen series are presently some of the most popular models around. The Ryzen series has led to a rise in AMD’s CPU market shars at a time Intel’s appears to have stagnated.
The Ryzen 3000XT processors have more processing cores and offer far better multi-threaded performance at the same price point compared to Intel’s Core processors. AMD has now dropped its latest Ryzen 3000XT series comprising of three models. The new CPUs will become available for purchase next month.
The new Ryzen 3000XT models have a good performance boost even though the launch prices remain the same as the X models. The series also has the same 7nm Zen 2 architecture just like others in the family.
The Ryzen 3600XT, 3800XT and 3900XT are the new models and they all have a bit higher clocking frequency compared to the Ryzen 3600X, 3800X and 3900X. The 3800XT gained a 200MHz frequency boost while the 3600XT and 3900XT gained 100MHz. Their base frequencies remain the same as that of the X models.
In addition, the Ryzen 3600XT will have the Wraith Spire cooler just like the 3600X, but the 3800XT and 3900XT will not have a cooler out of the box which in contrast to the X models. AMD disclosed the reason for this and it isn’t beyond the fact that the processors are made for geeks who often go for third-party cooling solutions. The 280mm AIO coolers have been suggested by the company for you to get the best experience for these products. There also seem to be no TDP increase over the X models.
The Ryzen 3000XT processors have identical price as the X models that was launched in 2019. A price drop for X models is expected to happen soon.
AMD has also started the sale of the B550 motherboards. Furthermore, the A520, the successor to the A320, motherboard has been announced by the company as coming soon.
