Rumors are coming up that Microsoft is planning on bringing Android apps to Windows machines by 2021.

As enthusiasts know, there are emulators out there that let you run Android apps on Windows PC. However, having official support means that it would be much easier to download and install Android applications to Windows 10.

A per Windows Central, there are discussions within the company about the possibility of including Android runtime on Windows 10. This could be one of the latest features of the upcoming Windows revamp, which is expected to arrive in the late months of 2021.

Other than emulators, there are softwares that lets Windows owners use Android apps on their computers. Albeit, it’s only limited to Samsung smartphone users.

Having access to Android apps will make Windows PC more useful. Albeit, this means that it will collide with Google’s own Chromebook products.

How it will be implemented is still a mystery. Does this mean that Google Play Store will officially have a desktop version? Will it come with Google Play Store? Or will the Microsoft Store have a special section for Android apps? I guess we’ll have to wait to find out.
