An interesting user spending on mobile data sees Apple Store getting nearly twice as much income as Google Play, despite the former getting relatively fewer downloads than the latter.
The App Store generated a revenue of $19 billion, which reflects the platform’s 31 percent year-on-year growth, versus Google Play’s $10.3 billion, which itself demonstrates a higher year-on-year growth at 33.8 percent.
According to the statistics, there had been 36.5 billion downloads in both App Store and Google Play combined in the last quarter, 8.5 billion of which coming from Apple devices. Subsequently, leaving the majority—or 21.6 billion—of the downloads drawing from Google Play.
