Apple AirTag starts at Php1,690 in the Philippines - Android

The Apple AirTag works just like the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag and other tiny trackers we’ve seen from other brands before. This ultra-small device, which is only 31.9mm in diameter, 8mm in height, and 11g in weight, will let you easily find any item you attach it to.

It’s like a small puck that you can put directly in your bag or in one of many dedicated keychains Apple made for it so that you can hang it on your bike, luggage, umbrella, keys, and whatnot. You can assign what items it’s attached to on your phone.

What’s cool is, it has a Precision Finding feature, which can point to the direct location of the AirTag and whatever item you attach it to that you want to find. Albeit, this feature only works on iPhone 11 and 12 series.

The AirTag also works with the updated Find My app. It has a built-in speaker so you can ping it and find it easily.

If your AirTag is far away, it can send a secure Bluetooth signal to nearby devices in the Find My network. These devices will then send the location of your AirTag through the iCloud, where you can find your missing item on the map. Apple said the entire process is encrypted and anonymous.

Just like Apple devices, the AirTag can be put into Lost Mode. Once a device from the Find My network gets close to it, you’d be getting a notification of its location. People can also tap their NFC-capable smartphone to show your contact information.

The AirTag has a user-replaceable CR2032 coin cell battery that can last for a year. The body is IP67 water-resistant. And if you want yours to be unique, you can order it from the Apple website and have it engraved with personalized initials, emoji, or both.
