Apple unveiled four new iPhones — the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max and the addition of a new model, the iPhone 12 mini. The announcement pretty much confirms the leaks, which was actually spot on.
Like previous iPhone releases, the latest models have similar specs which gets better as the price increases across the product line. All four come with 5G, which also explains the phrase “Hi, Speed” on their teaser.
The iPhone 12 series feature a flat-edge design that looks like a cross between the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 11. The phones are powered by Apple’s 5nm A14 Bionic with CPU and GPU that Apple says performs 50% better than other mobile chips.
The new iPhones feature all-screen Super Retina XDR OLED displays, surrounded by narrow bezels. It offers a 2 million-to-1contrast ratio for true blacks. Protecting the screen is Corning’s new Ceramic Shield which offers 4x better protection compared with the previous model.
There’s a 12MP main and a 12MP ultra-wide cameras at the back. The dual cameras system offers better computational photography improving Night mode performance and faster-performing Deep Fusion for improved photo quality.
