Apple has just unveiled an update to its 24-inch iMac lineup. The new device joins the company’s new Mac models powered by the Apple M1 chip.

The new 24″ iMac comes with an ultra-thin design with a thickness of just 11.5mm. Looking at it from the side, the form factor actually resembles a huge iPad Pro.

There’s a large 24-inch 4.5K Retina Display dominating the front side with thin bezels all around. The screen boasts over a billion colors with a P3 wide color gamut and up to 500 nits of brightness.

Inside, the desktop computer is powered by the Apple M1 chip. It has eight cores with 8GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage options. According to Apple, the chip has up to 85-percent faster CPU performance. While its eight-core GPU has sped up to two times faster than the previous generation Macs.

The new 24″ iMac also includes a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, studio-quality mics, and a six-speaker sound system, making it an ideal tool for productivity and entertainment.

As for ports, there are four USB-C at the back, two of which are Thunderbolt. It also supports Touch ID, Wi-Fi 6, and a magnetic power plug.

Price and Availability

The prices of the new 24″ iMac M1 devices are already listed on Apple Philippines’ website. It comes in green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver.

At this point, date of availability for the country has not yet been revealed.
