The Huawei Enjoy 20 and 20 Plus recently got unveiled in China. They both come with MediaTek processors, instead of the usual in-house Kirin chipset that Huawei phones come with.
Both devices are powered by the latest 5G midrange chipset dubbed as the MediaTek Dimensity 720. On the Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus, it’s bundled with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage expandable via NM card.
The Enjoy 20 Plus is essentially a rebranded version of the newer Huawei Y9a with a couple of changes. It has a similar design to the flagship Mate 30 Pro, with a circular design on the back that houses the quad-camera setup.
But this time, it has a 48-megapixel main camera instead of 64-megapixels. It’s joined by a 2-megapixel macro camera. Instead of a depth sensor, the 2×2 layout is completed by an LED flash.
On the front, we have an almost bezel-less6.63-inch IPS screen, which has a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. Huawei hid the 16-megapixel camera in a pop-up mechanism for this clean look.
The Huawei Enjoy 20 Plus 5G has an official price of CNY2,299 (around Php16,400) for the 6GB variant, while the 8GB model is at CNY2,499 (around php17,800).
Next, we have the cheaper Huawei Enjoy 20 5G. It still has the same processor, but this time, it has a more basic 6.6-inch HD+ IPS screen with the standard 60Hz refresh rate. The RAM options are only 4GB/6GB but with the same 128GB storage.
On the back, we have a square camera design similar to the Nova 7i. It consists of a 13-megapixel main shooter, 5-megapixel ultra-wide, and 2-megapixel macro.
We then have a notch on top of the screen for the 8-megapixel selfie camera. And just like most budget phones, it comes with a generous 5,000mAh battery.
The Huawei Enjoy 20 5G has a starting price of CNY1,699 (around Php12,100) for the 4GB model, while the 6GB variant is at CNY1,899 (around Php13,500). It’s one of the cheapest 5G smartphones around, but not as affordable as the current titleholder — the Realme V3.
