A retailer in China is bundling the Huawei Mate 40 Pro with a free iPhone 12 as a gift.

Huihuibao, a Chinese online store, is offering the unusual promo for its November 26 sale of a special batch of Huawei Mate Mate 40 Pro 8GB + 128GB. The first few customers who orders the smartphone (and manages to activate the published coupons from the online store) will get a free 64GB iPhone 12.

The online store is going to sell the Mate 40 Pro 8GB + 128GB for USD 990. The iPhone 12 64GB, on the other hand, is priced at USD 799.

In China, there is a shortage of Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro+ as Huawei have difficulties keeping up with demand, likely due to a limited supply of its Kirin 9000 chips.

We all know what’s going on with Huawei since the trade ban. Recently, the company sold its Honor sub-brand in an effort to raise funds to keep the company afloat and to “save Honor’s industry chain”.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro was unveiled last October and features a 6.76-inch full HD OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10 support. It is powered by a 5nm octa-core Kirin 9000 processor with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. There are three Leica cameras at the back, namely 50MP, 20MP and 12MP, and two in the front with a 13MP and TOF sensors.
