Huawei is capping the year with the announcement of two powerhouse midrange phones in the Huawei nova 8 and nova 8 Pro. The two brings impressive spec sheets to Huawei’s top midrange series, featuring Kirin 985 chips, 5G connectivity, 66-watt wired fast charging, and the HMS system.
The Huawei nova 8 comes with a 6.57-inch full HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 32MP punch hole selfie camera at the top center, and an in-display fingerprint scanner underneath. It is powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core Kirin 985 processor with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.

The phone has four rear cameras composed of a 64MP main, an 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth. It also has a 3,800mAh battery with the aforementioned 66W fast charging.
The Huawei nova 8 Pro, on the other hand, offers a larger 6.72-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and a pill shaped cutout for dual 32MP + 16MP selfie cameras. Its also powered by a Kirin 985 chip with 8GB RAM and two storage options 128GB and 256GB.
The pro model has a larger 4,000mAh battery with the same 66-watt wired fast charging. It also has the same set of rear cameras — 64MP main, an 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth.
As for the prices, the nova 8 8GB + 128GB is priced at CNY 3,299 (around Php 24,300), while the 256GB variant retails for CNY 3,699 (Php 27,200) nova 8 Pro 8GB + 128GB comes in at CNY 3,999 (Php 29,400), while the 8GB + 256GB goes for CNY 4,399 (Php 32,400).
No information yet if it will come to the Philippines.
