Apple is the leader in the fast-growing wireless earphones industry. So, most of its competitors trying to cut down their sales with the production of earbuds that have better battery capacity and features in a similar body.
With a truly unique and unconventional feature, one company stood out — LG with the LG Tone Free HBS-FN6 TWS .
LG earlier in the year made headlines with the introduction of the Tone Free true wireless earbuds in the US priced at $199.99. The main highlight is the UVnano charging case which serves as a charging case for the earbuds and also for disinfection purpose.

Now, the tech giant has introduced another alternative to Apple’s AirPods, the high-end HBS-FN6 model that comes with the first of its kind self-cleaning case.
LG claims that the Tone Free HBS-FN6 TWS when charging through the UVnano case will kill 99.9% of bacteria, like E. coli and S. aureus from both the aperture mesh and tips, as well as the parts that are in close contact to the ear canal. Studies have shown that earbuds can retain so much bacteria which can possibly cause an ear infection.
The appeal of this self-cleaning true wireless earbuds cannot be denied, combined with a conventional style and unique health-protecting technology. The difference between the high-end HBS-FN6 and the earlier launched low-end HBS-FL7 is the canal type design which ensures the high-end earbud fits more comfortably than the low end.
The entry-level HBS-FN4 model does not have the UVnano charging case with a sanitising UV light, but shares all other functions with the HBS-FN6. These are inclusive of the life-like audio powered by Meridian function for noise isolation, IPX4 water resistance, Google Assistant, as well as having about six hours battery life.
LG has chosen not to reveal the retail price for both earbuds for now. This might not be a good idea, but clearly it is expected that these products will release next month to key European and American markets, so we are expecting more information soon.
