Digital Walker recently sent us a the Momax Spark TWS. As the name suggests, it’s a True Wireless Stereo earbuds for those who want to enjoy a truly wireless audio experience. Check out our initial thoughts below.
One of the first things we notice about the Momax Spark TWS is the quality of the case. While most TWS earbuds in the market come in a plastic case, this one sports a metallic build that is cool to the touch. It also has a matte paint job that repels fingerprints well.
It sports a clamshell design with a USB Type-C port on the side for charging.
Underneath is a plastic base with a matte finish.
Open the lid and you will see the four LEDs to indicate battery levels.
The earbuds are also equipped with LEDs to indicate pairing.
At this point, the earbuds are already ready for pairing. Just open your Bluetooth settings from your mobile device and pair with it. The next time you’re going to use it, just open the case and it will automatically pair.
For the buds themselves, they’re the in-ear type and are mostly made of plastic with a matte finish. It doesn’t feel as premium as other TWS, but it is very light and comfortable.
Both buds are equipped with microphones and support for touch controls. Tap once on any earbud to answer a call or play/pause the music. Touch the left earbuds twice to go to the previous song and tap the right earbuds twice to go to the next song. Tap the earbuds three times to activate Siri or Google Assistant.
The fit is great as the silicone ear tips provide a good seal. The audio quality is decent and mostly bassy. The lows are deep and full, although the mids and highs are not as crisp and clear as we prefer. It’s great for hip hop tunes but a but lacks in delivery when it comes to rock songs. When handling calls, the Momax Spark TWS provides a clear audio thanks to its dual-mic noise reduction.
As for the battery life, the Momax Spark TWS can provide up to 5 hours of playback. You can get up to 20 hours of playback with the help of the charging case. Charging the earbuds takes 1.5 hours.
As for charging the case, it has a 500mAh capacity and can be charged via the USB-C port or via a wireless charging pad. Charging the case takes about 2 hours.
The Momax Spark TWS is available in gold and space gray and is priced at PHP 4,990. Although there’s an ongoing promo where you can get for PHP 3,990 at Lazada. You can also purchase it at Digital Walker and Beyond the Box Stores, as well as Home Office.
