According to the company, this chipset has the most significant upgrade to the Adreno mobile GPU. The new graphics processor aims to pull 144fps gaming and has support for updatable GPU drivers.

However, the GPU’s key specs and the CPU clock speeds, core counts, and more are yet to be announced. However, a previous leak suggests that it may be inferior to the upcoming Exynos 2100.

The new chipset will also feature the third-gen of its 5G modem, the Qualcomm Snapdragon X60. It provides sub-6 and mmWave 5G, which can support all major bands around the world. Plus, it has carrier aggregation, global bulti-SIM, and Dynamic Spectrum Sharing.

It also comes with the latest WiFi 6E and bluetooth 5.2.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 will also have a significant photo/video boost. The new Spectra ISP is 35% faster as it can handle 2.7 gigapixels of data per second. That’s about 120 photos at 12-megapixel resolution.

Qualcomm has re-engineered the hexagon processor from the ground up. It can now deliver 26 TOPS, versus the 15 TOPS of the Snapdragon 865 and 11 TOPS on the Apple M1 processor.
