HMD Global introduced two new budget phones recently. One of them is the new Nokia 2.4.
Launched alongside the Nokia 3.4, the Nokia 2.4 features a larger 6.5-inch LCD HD+ screen with a taller 20:9 aspect ratio. But this time, the downgraded 5-megapixel camera is inside a waterdrop notch instead of a punch-hole.
It goes without saying that the 2.4 is a more affordable option to the 3.4. Hence, we’re getting a slower MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor, with up to 3GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
The charger was also dropped to a 5W microUSB module. But on the upside, it has a bigger 4,500mAh battery capacity. Moreover, much like other Nokia phones, it runs on clean Android 10 OS, with a secured spot to receive the upcoming Android 11 update and future OS updates that are coming in the next two years.
Being an entry-level smartphone, the Nokia 2.4 has a starting price of EUR120 (around Php6,800) for the 2GB/32GB, while the SRP for the 3GB/64GB model and their global availability are yet to be revealed.
