Filipino users need not worry that TikTok may stop working on their smartphones, as the Philippine government currently has no plans to ban the Chinese social media app.

According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque (who, by the way, tried the app and garnered mixed reactions), he does not see any reason why TikTok should be banned in the Philippines. In a press briefing, Roque said “Wala pong dahilan na nakikita para i-ban ang TikTok dito sa Pilipinas.”
