Google has finally unveiled the Pixel 4a smartphone after a series of teasers and leaks. The phone comes with a 5.8-inch Full HD+ OLED display, powered by the Snapdragon 730G chipset, and paired with 6GB of RAM.
The Google Pixel 4a comes with HDR+ with dual exposure controls, Top Shot, Night Sight with astrophotography capabilities, Portrait Mode, EIS and OIS stabilization.
In addition, there’s the Titan M Security chip, a LED flash 12.2-megapixel camera at the back, Dual Pixel autofocus, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 8-megapixel selfie camera.
A recorder is available to seamlessly connect with Google Docs. You’ll also find for real-time emergency notification, a personal Safety app, and live caption which will automatically caption your voice and video calls in real-time.
Google Pixel 4a features a plain polycarbonate body with a matte finish, fingerprint sensor mounted at the rear, and 3,140mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It will run on Android 10 with upgrades to Android 11, 12 and Android 13 as promised by Google for the next three years.
The Google Pixel 4a is priced at $349 (~Php17,200) for the sole 6GB RAM / 128GB internal storage model. It is available in black only. Customers in the US can pre-order it already, but the official shipment date is on August 20.
