In the wake of the pandemic, we have to admit that things have becoming a bit difficult for us. That’s why companies strive to give us better services. This time, PLDT and Grab are announcing partnership.
PLDT—one of the country’s top internet service provider—and Grab, known as SouthEast Asia’s leading application for vehicle and delivery services, are teaming up to provide internet solutions directly towards the Filipinos’ homes.
Both companies understood the concept of the ‘new normal’, and how important technology will play a part during these trying times. This is why PLDT and Grab are in cooperation so when customers order PLTD Home and Smart products, it can easily be delivered to their location within 24 hours.
Home customers can already order PLDT Home WiFi Prepaid units via the website, with Grab providing the delivery of the items through their Grab Express delivery service. Customers can settle their purchase through credit or debit, and they can also decide on cash upon delivery.

PLDT and Grab also offer their products on GrabMart (there is a Smart and PLDT store). Here, customers can order the kit of PLDT Home WiFi Prepaid, and then have it shipped immediately to their homes.
The partnership strenghtens with Smart allowing instant loading of prepaid accounts using the GrabPay wallet. With this, Smart prepaid customers can simply purchase load and mobile data packages through the Grab app—either their own mobile number, or for family and friends. All this for as low as PHP 50.
Grab Philippines president, Brian Cu, and Smart President and PLDT Chief Revenue Officer, Al Panlilio agrees that the partnership between their companies aim to provide rapid anc convenient services for the benefit of the Filipino people. It also promotes the advancement of technology not only in the Philippines, but in the whole of SouthEast Asia.
Such a cooperation also ensures that families stay safe during the quarantine period. Even after the whole thing’s over; online services has been something that we got used to, hence a step forwards towards this ‘new normal’.
