Looking for a complete mid-range smartphone that doesn’t break the bank? In today’s comparison, we have your two best options for under Php13,000.
First, we have the newly released Xiaomi POCO X3 NFC. The moment it came out, people were clamoring thanks to all the advanced specs and features that the company was able to cram into this midrange phone.
But is it really the one to get? To answer that question, we’ll be comparing it to another top contender at this price — the Realme 6.
Just like the former, this budget midrange device became extremely popular thanks to its reliable performance, fast screen, and great cameras.
With that, here in our POCO X3 NFC versus Realme 6 specifications and features comparison, we’ll see which between these devices is better and the one you should purchase. Let’s start.

It’s evident that the POCO X3 NFC won more trophies than the Realme 6. But what’s not highlighted in our specs comparison table above is the design.
As you can see, the X3 NFC has a more distinct and well-thought-out look. Xiaomi used a textured look on the back, with the distinct POCO logo that shows different colors as it reacts to light.
We then have a unique camera layout back here, which is unlike anything we’ve seen before. The POCO X3 NFC also has a sturdier Gorilla Glass 5 protection and an aluminum frame.
The Realme 6 has a really interesting design by itself. It’s unique from Realme’s other releases. Albeit, it doesn’t look as good as the competition.
On the upside, it does share the same streamlined-design approach to the POCO device. It has a punch-hole to increase the screen-to-body ratio and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for a cleaner back panel.
Here’s an easy win for the POCO X3 NFC. As you can see, it has a whopping 120Hz refresh rate, which is possibly the first device in this price range in this category — and easily outshines the 90Hz screen of the Realme 6. It also has a more responsive 240Hz touch sampling.
The X3 NFC also has an HDR10+ support that should work in compatible streaming apps and videos.
Other than the display, Xiaomi also nailed the audio department on the POCO X3 NFC. It has Hi-Res certification and a stereo speaker setup. These are rare finds for a sub-Php10,000 smartphone.
The MediaTek Helio G90T of the Realme 6 have been considered as one of the most reliable chipsets in the market. However, it starts to fall behind newer and more powerful processors, like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G of the POCO X3 NFC.
In fact, it’s so powerful that it actually doesn’t belong in this category. Initial performance reviews reveal that it’s more powerful than the Helio G90T in terms of CPU and gaming performance, and way more battery efficient.
It even has a special cooling system to keep the performance consistent as long as possible.
The POCO device also has better connectivity features. There’s the more reliable and battery efficient Bluetooth 5.1, and an IR blaster that lets you control non-smart appliances.

It’s a close fight in the camera department. But still, the POCO X3 NFC wins by a close margin. As you can see, both models have 64-megapixel main cameras and two 2-megapixel sensors for macro and depth sensing.
Where the X3 NFC takes the lead is in its 13-megapixel ultra-wide and 20-megapixel selfie cameras, which are sharper than what the competition has. It also has 960fps slow-mo recording, while the Realme 6 is capped at 240fps.
Here’s an obvious win for the POCO X3 NFC. It has a 5,160mAh battery, and despite having a more demanding 120Hz screen, it should still have longer battery life than the 4,300mAh of the competition.
The POCO X3 NFC also has a faster 33W charging than the Realme 6’s 30W flash charger.
Well, it goes without saying that the POCO X3 NFC is better than the Realme 6. It has a larger and faster screen, a more powerful processor, better cameras, stereo speakers, connectivity, battery, and charging.
What’s more interesting is, it’s actually more affordable than the latter. It has a starting price of Php10,990, which is Php1,000 cheaper than the Realme 6. Both of their top-tier models are also Php1,000 apart.
