PayMaya has recently added another government biller on its platform, allowing customers to pay Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) civil registry documents using their PayMaya account.

Currently, those who will apply birth, death, and marriage certificates to the Civil Registration System (CRS) Central Outlet at East Avenue, Quezon City, may now use the PayMaya QR for contactless payment. They need to scan the PayMaya QR displayed at designated payment windows in the PSA CRS Central Outlet using the PayMaya app on their phones.

“With the availability of PayMaya QR as a payment method initially at the PSA CRS Central Outlet, there is now a faster and safer way for Filipinos to pay for their needed documents. This is especially critical at this time as we work to make our services more available to the public in a safer manner through contactless payments. We look forward to offering this service to more outlets nationwide soon,” said PSA Undersecretary Dennis S. Mapa, Ph.D,

PSA shared that the service will be offered soon in other PSA CRS outlets nationwide. PayMaya will also be available soon as a payment method in PSA’s online channels, allowing the agency to accept any credit, debit, and prepaid card linked to PayMaya for online transactions.

The latest initiative aims to provide faster, safer, and more efficient digital and cashless transactions.

Previously, PayMaya added several government-related billers to its platform including the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Social Security System (SSS), and the PAG-IBIG Fund, among others. This allowed businesses and individuals to use their PayMaya accounts or card as options for cashless payment.

Local government units such as the cities of Manila, Pasig, Mandaluyong, Caloocan, Quezon City, and Las Pinas, among others, have likewise tapped PayMaya for digital payment acceptance and also to help disburse financial aid to qualified beneficiaries in their areas, particularly during the start of the enhanced community quarantine.

These are all in support of the “Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Services Delivery Act of 2018” and the Anti-Red Tape Act which seek to help streamline and provide better access to government services of digital and cashless technologies.
