PUBG Mobile has recently launched a new gaming season and introduced new items and mechanics. While the new season brings in more players, it has also attracted the attention of phishing scammers.

Since the new season began, software security vendor Kaspersky has stumbled upon 260 phishing sites that pose as the legitimate PUBG Mobile website to lure players into giving away their account information. 

The phishing sites are designed to have the look and feel of the real deal. To steal account info, these sites entice players to play the lottery wheel called Lucky Spin, which in the real game provides players with the opportunity to win exclusive in-game items.

The fake wheel in the phishing sites are naturally rigged so victims would appear to have won items and are then redirected to a fake Twitter and Facebook login page. Players who enter their account credentials are then compromised.
