Realme just released the Realme 6 series, along with it is the Realme 6 Pro.
It feels like yesterday when we saw the Realme 5 Pro, which is true since the Realme 5 series only came out in October.
UPDATE: The Realme 6 Pro is launching in the Philippines on May 27.
Don’t be surprised, though, as Realme is releasing two midrange series every year. We both saw the Realme 3 Pro and the 5 Pro back in 2019.
That’s why we now have the Realme 6 Pro, and probably later this year, the Realme 7 Pro.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. In the meantime, let’s talk about the Realme 6 Pro and how is it any different from its predecessor. Our Realme 6 Pro versus Realme 5 Pro specifications and features comparison starts now.

It’s no surprise that the Realme 6 Pro has better features than the Realme 5 Pro. That’s just an obvious fact.
What’s interesting is, the Realme 6 Pro is a big jump over its predecessor. Unlike what the Realme 5 Pro is over the 3 Pro before it.
For starters, the Realme 6 Pro now has a bigger 6.6-inch FHD+ screen, versus the 6.3-inches of the former. And of course, there’s the smooth 90Hz refresh rate. You can definitely feel the difference in speed with this type of screen.
Speaking of which, the Realme 6 Pro is the first to use the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor. It will bring faster and better performance than the Snapdragon 712 chipset of the previous model.
More about speed, the 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging of the Realme 5 Pro is already one of the best in its class. But, Realme is topping that by improving the charging speed to 30W with the Realme 6 Pro.
It also has a marginally bigger 4,300mAh battery than the 4,035 capacity of the Realme 5 Pro.
Realme also went extra generous by putting a secondary selfie camera on the 6 Pro. It’s not your usual, almost useless depth sensor. This thing comes with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide front camera, perfect for group shots with friends.
That camera, as well as the 16-megapixel selfie shooter, are housed inside a cool and clean punch-hole on the screen.

The cameras on the back also got a major upgrade. The 48-megapixel primary sensor is now at 64-megapixels. The 2-megapixel depth-sensor was swapped with a more useful 12-megapixel telephoto lens that can provide 2x of optical zoom.
However, the 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel macro shooters remained untouched.
There are other minor things that make the Realme 6 Pro better than its predecessor. There’s the improved camera software features, a more dated Bluetooth 5.1 technology, the company’s own Realme UI, and a new attractive design.
Clearly, the Realme 6 Pro is a big step up over the Realme 5 Pro. If you have the money, I suggest you wait for a little while until the Realme 6 Pro hits the market. By then, the Realme 5 Pro will become cheaper, in case you plan on getting it instead.
