The Realme 7 and 7 Pro are now official, just six months since their predecessors came out.
Don’t be surprised, though, as Realme usually releases two versions in this line every year. With that said, let’s start with the Realme 7 Pro. The major improvement here is its 65W SuperDart charging, which we only saw on flagship phones a year ago. It can juice up its 4,500mAh battery back to 100% in only 34 minutes.
Realme also improved the display as it now has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen. Albeit, the refresh rate was dialed back down to 60Hz. As per Realme, it was the people’s choice to go with a more colorful AMOLED 60Hz screen instead of a fast IPS 90Hz panel. Realme also added a stereo speaker setup, with Hi-Res certification and Dolby Atmos.
The company also removed the secondary ultra-wide front camera, but did bump up the 16-megapixel main selfie camera to a 32-megapixel one.
Realme also dropped the telephoto lens for a 2-megapixel depth sensor. They did that so they can upgrade the main camera to a 64-megapixel IMX682 sensor, which makes more sense.
The rest of the features are pretty much identical to the 6 Pro, primarily because it uses the same Snapdragon 720G chipset. You can check the specs list below.
The Realme 7 Pro has a starting price of INR19,999 (around Php13,300) for the 6GB/128GB model, while the 8GB/128GB variant is at INR21,999 (around Php14,500). Sale starts on September 14 in India, while its arrival in PH is yet to be announced.
Next stop, we have the Realme 7, which is the very first device to boast the new MediaTek Helio G95 octa-core processor — the awaited successor to the renowned Helio G90T.
The 90Hz LCD screen and 30W fast charging were kept, the battery was increased to 5,000mAh from 4,300mAh, while the 64-megapixel IMX682 sensor of the 7 Pro model was carried over.
The Realme 7 is available in 6GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB models for INR14,999 (around Php9,900) and INR16,999 (around Php11,200), respectively. It will be available in India starting September 10, while both devices’ release here in the Philippines is yet to be announced.
