Realme has launched three new midrange phones that comes with 5G connectivity.
First, we have the new Realme Q2. This thing is powered by the 5G-enabled MediaTek Dimensity 800U octa-core processor, which you can get with 128GB of storage and either 4GB or 6GB of RAM.
We then have a 120Hz 6.5-inch LCD screen on the front, with a punch-hole for the 16-megapixel selfie camera. While on the back, we have the triple-camera setup led by a 48-megapixel main shooter and 8-megapixel ultra-wide.
The battery is rated at 5,000mAh, which is bundled with 30W fast charger.
The Realme Q2 will be available in China on October 19 for a price of CNY1,299 (around Php9,400) for the 4GB/128GB configuration, while the 6GB/128GB variant is at CNY1,399 (around Php10,100).
We then have the Realme Q2 Pro 5G. It has the same processor but has an upgraded 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with UD fingerprint scanner baked in. There’s the ultra-fast 65W charger, which we also found on the midrange Realme 7 Pro.
The Q2 Pro 5G starts at CNY1,599 (around Php11,500) for the 8GB/128GB model and CNY1,799 (around Php12,900) for the 8GB/256GB.
Lastly, we have the most affordable of the three, the Realme Q2i 5G. Enabling its 5G connectivity is its MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor, with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. There’s also a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
You can find a large 6.52-inch HD+ LCD screen on the front, with the traditional waterdrop notch for the 8-megapixel selfie camera. While on the back, we have the 13-megapixel main sensor, two obligatory 2-megapixel cameras, and the fingerprint scanner.

The Realme Q2i 5G will be available in China starting October 21 for CNY998 (around Php7,200). We’re yet to see any Dimensity-powered smartphones in more countries outside China, so we doubt it will ever arrive here in the Philippines.
