Social Security System (SSS) members may now enjoy the benefit of receiving their claims without the need to go through traditional route as the state-run institution now accepts PayMaya as the default disbursement option.
Members must only enroll their own personal PayMaya account as part of their profile in My.SSS online portal which is essentially their PayMaya-registered mobile number as the “Account Number” at the Bank Enrollment option.
As of writing, only certain benefits may apply with the program, which excludes proceeds coming from salary, calamity, or loans.
The initiative comes in light of the current event’s imposed demand for social distancing as well as the partial fruition of SSS’ desire to go full-on digital in distributing funds to its valued members.
However, this collaboration between SSS and PayMaya is not the first considering that, back in 2019, the two were also in partnership in providing remittance to SSS members who are in abroad via the PayMaya Checkout program.
