Smart’s plan to cover certain areas in the provinces of Boracay, Cebu, Davao, and Iloilo have kicked into full gear, building 5G sites in each respective place.

The newly established 5G coverage makes part of the already existing rollout of a similar project in small portions of Luzon, particularly in the areas of Araneta City, Bonifacio City CBD, EDSA, Makati Central Business District (CBD), Mall of Asia Bay Area, North Avenue in Quezon City, Ortigas CBD, across many cities in Manila, and other select provinces, such as Cavite, Pampanga, and Rizal.

While initially intended to also exclusively benefit Smart postpaid subscribers, the launch of the project sees the advantage extended to Smart prepaid subscribers.

In making the new groundbreaking technology accessible to more subscribers, Smart has partnered up with manufacturers like Samsung, Huawei, Realme, and Vivo into delivering 5G-capable products nationwide.
