Finally, our much-awaited feature is now available in Spotify. The music-streaming app rolled out real-time lyrics display feature in twenty-six (26) countries in Latin America and Southeast Asia including the Philippines.

With the new feature, it means that you no longer need to Google the lyrics of your favorite songs. Plus, you may ditch, (at least have an acceptable alternative) to your karaoke.

It is not the first time for Spotify to introduce lyrics in their services. Way back in 2016, the company partnered with Mixmatch for licensing. Unfortunately, in the same year, the partnership between these two ended. Currently, Spotify is working with Genuis, the same company behind the lyrics of Apple Music.

To use this feature, start playing your music. Then go to Now Playing page and a scroll down to see the Lyrics. You may also find a story behind the song.

According to Spotify, the feature is now available. All you need to do is update your application via Play Store for Android users and App Stores for iOS.

For now, the feature is only available to select songs. However, Spotify said that it is adding lyrics every day. The new in-app lyrics display is available to both Premium and Free users.
