Sunlight Air is the latest airline to join the domestic flight fray in the Philippines.  

Founded in July 22, 2019, Sunlight Air is aiming to serve commercial domestic flights where there is high tourism demand, including destinations such as Boracay, Cebu, Palawan, and Siargao. It will also offer flights in locations that are yet to be tapped or insufficiently served by the competition.  

Sunlight Air was supposed to launch its first flights in March 2020, but its plans were put on hold due to the global health issue. After having adjusted to the new normal and complied with stringent pandemic measures, the airline has since been offering all-inclusive travel bubble packages in December.  

An example of Sunlight Air’s travel bubble package is its four-day, three-night package from Manila to Busungua, Palawan. The package offers accommodation in an overwater villa, daily breakfast, spa treatment, and food and beverage vouchers. Sunlight Air’s travel bubble packages are made possible in partnership with the Asia Pacific Travel and Sunlight Ecotourism Island Resort.

Among the features offered by Sunlight Air, which includes three, 70-seater ATR 72-500 turbo-prop planes in its fleet, its in-flight entertainment system is most notable. All passengers are given full access to high-quality content in 1080p full format.
