In 2020, tablets have been one of essential gadgets for learning and even remote working. Equipped with big screens and good processors, these handy devices are easy to carry around and enhance productivity. We give you a list of budget-friendly tablets released in 2020 that you can use for work or play.
Lenovo has brought its entire lineup of tablets last April in the Philippines, including the V7. Ideal for multimedia consumption, it sports a 6.9-inch FHD+ display and dual front-facing speakers with Dolby Atmos. Onboard is 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a Qualcomm 450 processor with a maximum clock speed of 1.8Ghz. As a 4G LTE device, the Lenovo M7 has dual SIM slots. It also has 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras, a rear fingerprint scanner, and a large 5,180mAh battery that’s rechargeable through a USB-C port.

Designed for kids, the second generation of Lenovo Tab M10 HD features the Kids Space from Google, a digital platform specially designed for children. It has a 10.1-inch HD display with TUV Rheinland certification for eye protection from harmful blue light. Running under Android 10, it has dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, an octa-core processor with a clock speed up to 2.3 GHz, and parental controls from Google through Family Link that allows parents to monitor their child’s screentime and consumed content. It has a Mediatek Helio P22T processor, up to 4GB RAM, up to 64GB storage, Play and Read tabs for accessing free apps and ebooks, and Watch and Make tabs for watching child-friendly content from YouTube.

Known for having a big screen, the first-generation Lenovo Tab M10 has a 10.1-inch HD display. As an entry-level 4G LTE tablet, it is powered by an older Qualcomm Snapdragon 492 processor, 2GB LPDDR3 RAM, and 32GB storage that’s expandable up to 256GB via microSD slot. It gets the previous Android Oreo, dual SIM slots, and single 5MP rear and 2MP front cameras. Compared to its successor, it has a smaller battery at 4,850mAh battery and a micro-USB port.

This another LTE tablet from Lenovo’s Tab M series that features a smaller 8-inch HD display. It has a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, and a smaller battery at 3,950mAh. It has expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card and a smaller 3,950mAh battery.

Running under EMUI 5.0 based on Android 7, the MediaPad T3 comes in with a low-light mode and blue filter that helps users protect their eyes from unwanted strain.

Huawei’s latest Android tablet sports a 9.7-inch IPS display with a 1280 x 800px resolution. It touts the same 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera from its older sibling, the T 10s. In terms of hardware, it gets a Kirin 710A processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, and a 5,100mAh battery. Unlike the older members of the MatePad series, this one doesn’t come with a SIM slot. Among other features include a dedicated microSD slot up to 512GB, Huawei Share for wireless file and media sharing, and a USB Type-C port. It runs under EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10, ships with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), and may download other Android apps from the AppGallery or use the Petal Search Widget to install apps from official and third-party websites.

There are two cameras on the MatePad T8: a 5MP primary, and a 2MP front-facing camera. It runs on EMUI 10.0.1 based on Android 10 with Huawei Mobile Service, and a 5,100mAh battery.

Compared to its predecessor, Lenovo’s Tab M7 has a smaller 7-inch IPS display with 2MP front and rear cameras. It also comes in two variants: a 3G model with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage and an LTE unit with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The former is powered by a MediaTek 8321 chipset while the latter has MediaTek 8765 processor. Both feature Dolby Audio tuned front-facing speaker, 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB port, microSD slot up to 256GB, and run under Android 9 Pie Go Edition.

Apart from being the Android tablet with the lowest price tag in the list, the Lenovo Tab E7 also has the lowest configuration with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. It has a 3,500mAh battery, micro-USB port, and a 0.3MP front camera.
