Following increasing cases of carjacking, a Chicago-based lawmaker is seeking to prohibit violent video games, like Grand Theft Auto, from everyone, via a bill.
The bill, HB3531, is an amendment of the state of Illinois’ Criminal Code of 2012’s Violent Video Games Law.

Currently, the law enforces that violent video games can neither be sold nor leased to minors. However, the new proposal is vying to bring the existing rule to the next level by including everyone in its scope—meaning, nobody will get access to games that portray cruelty in any significant way should it be imposed as a law.
Apart from expanding the regulation’s range of scope to literally every human being, the bill also sought to alter the legal definition of “violent video games” to something that perpetuate savagery against a fellow human being or animal.
