iPads come in different sizes, storage options, and prices for a reason. You might think that picking an Apple tablet is as easy as choosing the newest iPhone, but it’s a little more complicated than that, aside from price, you also need to consider size, and performance according to your needs. Of course, the best one you can get is one of the latest models (2019); however, Apple-designed iPads with dedicated users in mind.
But first of all, if you’re here to look for the best iPad available today and have enough money to spare, then definitely go for the 11 or 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Now, if you still can’t decide which iPad to get, then keep on reading.
If you want the most portable iPad, then consider the iPad Mini 5. This 5th generation of the iPad Mini packs significant upgrades with an Advanced Retina Display and an A12 Bionic Chip. With a 7-9-inch screen, it’s more of a phablet but still demands to be used as an iPad. It’s the most travel-friendly on the list without sacrificing on performance. Plus, it’s compatible with the 1st generation Apple Pencil.
If you are a student that needs an e-reader, can handle basic tasks such as browsing the web, creating documents, and presentations, this tablet can do just that and price starts at PHP 23,990
Besides being the cheapest option, the iPad 7 is considered as the go-to Apple tablet for casual day-to-day use. With a 10.2-inch Retina Display, you get the familiar basic iPad in a slightly larger size than its predecessors. It’s also now compatible with the first generation iPad pencil and the Smart Keyboard. However, performance-wise, it is still relatively the same as previous models with an A10 Fusion chip from 2016. Nonetheless, it’s still a decent processor that can handle tasks such as watching videos, social media browsing, and the like. It’s a practical choice for us and has an SRP of PHP 19,990.
Not too big and not too small, the iPad Air 3 has a more premium approach to the standard iPad with a slimmer and lighter form factor. It has almost identical hardware to the iPad Mini 5 with the A12 Bionic Chip, but a larger 10.5-inch display.
It’s the balanced option with a little more screen space and a glass-coated display just like on the iPad Pro—so the first generation iPad pencil should work smoothly on this one. We recommend this for students or for those who want an iPad for productivity. It’s not close to being an iPad Pro, but the iPad Air offers more premium qualities than the iPad Mini and standard iPad. This iPad will run you PHP 29,990 for the 16GB model.
iPad Pro might not be a laptop replacement, but surely as capable as most computers today. If you’re in the market for the best iPad you can buy, then you should look for the 2020 iPad Pro line up. It comes in 2 sizes, 11-inches, and 12.9-inches. It’s got Apple’s A12Z Bionic which is faster than the A12 Bionic we see on the iPhone 11 line-up, a trimmed down bezels, ProMotion Display – fancier term for 120Hz refresh rate, Dual Camera set-up coupled with a LiDar sensor for an improved AR experience, Apple Pencil 2nd generation support and currently Apple’s current most powerful iPad available, plus its got FaceID for biometrics. One of the selling points of this device, aside from its performance, is, just like Apple’s laptops, it’s got a USB Type-C so you can connect your peripherals to your iPad.
If you want the full experience, Apple is also selling a Magic Keyboard that has a trackpad to utilize the iPadOS fully. Although this will cost you a little over a proper Macbook pro would cost, but if you’re into creating graphics, digital art, then picking iPad Pro than a MacBook is a wise choice. The iPad Pro will run you PHP 47,990 for the 11-inch model, of course, that’s before Apple Pencil which is another PHP 7,990 and PHP 16,990 for a keyboard folio case.
