The big three of the airline industry in the Philippines have resumed their flights as soon as Metro Manila was placed under the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) last June 1st.
The reopening of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) paved the way for Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, and AirAsia Philippines to accept bookings on the airport and via their apps & websites.
Here are some guidelines that you show know before booking a flight for regions under GCQ and MGCQ throughout the country. Take note that the Department of Transportation (DOTr) has permitted local and international flights for essential travels only and not for leisure or vacation purposes.

All flights are subjected to the approval of the Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases and the Bureau of Quarantine. In addition, a traveler must secure a medical certificate from their nearest health center or hospital plus a travel authority from the local municipal office or police office.
Starting on the 8th of June, domestic flights will start to fly to and from NAIA 2 to various local airports such as Cebu, Bacolod, Iloilo, Puerto Princesa, Tacloban, Zamboanga, Davao, Kalibo, and more.
Furthermore, international flights from NAIA 1 will resume operating for those who are going to Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, USA, UAE, Australia, Taiwan, Canada, etc.
Beginning the 2nd of June, CebuPac and Cebgo will have flights to and from NAIA 3 to Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Naga, and General Santos.
From the 5th of June, AirAsia will operate flights to and from Davao, Bacolod, Tagbilaran, Tacloban, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro. All of their flights will only use NAIA 3 as the fourth terminal remains closed at the moment.
