We’re in the second half of 2020 and we’ve already seen all the phones that we’re waiting to come out. So if you’re holding back for an upgrade, now is the time.

But what smartphones should you get? Well, if you’re all about performance and have the money for it, then this AnTuTu best performing flagship phones list for May 2020 will help narrow down your options.

Xiaomi has dominated both the flagship and midrange list from AnTuTu. The new Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro (8GB/256GB) dominated the list with its average score of 590,838.

That device comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor. That’s the same chipset found on the Redmi K30 Pro (6GB/128GB, 586,004), OnePlus 8 Pro (12GB/256GB, 581,794), and the Mi 10 (8GB/256GB, 574,229), which took the second to fourth spots, respectively.

As you can see, it’s not all about the numbers. The OnePlus 8 Pro has a whopping 12GB of RAM, but was still overtaken by the Redmi K30 Pro with only half the memory at 6GB of memory.

To no one’s surprise, the Exynos 990 lags behind the competition. The Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G (12GB/128GB, 519,975) and S20 Plus 5G (12GB/128GB, 513,184) only managed to take the fifth and sixth spots.

In fact, last generation’s Snapdragon 855 Plus even managed to surpass the Exynos 990’s performance. The ROG Phone 2 (12GB/512GB, 510,146) was able to overtake the Galaxy S20 Plus (8GB/128GB, 506,204) at the seventh spot. While the Realme X2 Pro (12GB/256GB, 500,573) got the ninth spot, leaving the Galaxy S20 5G (8GB/128GB, 500,503) dead last.

Clearly, Chinese tech companies are starting to dominate the market. Samsung can steer things around if they improve their Exynos processor, or give up already and use Qualcomm’s.

If you’re interested about midrange phones, here are the fastest for the month of May.
