Xiaomi recently launched in the Philippines the Mi 11 Lite. It’s one of the newest members of the large Mi 11 Series, packing a 6.55-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G, triple-rear cameras, and 4,250mAh battery. Check out our initial thoughts below.

Although tagged as “Lite” and has a plastic frame, the device still looks and feels premium. The back panel is made of glass, which, as expected, is a fingerprint magnet, so we highly suggest using the case included in the package if you want to keep it clean. From this angle, we’ll find its camera module, the Xiaomi Branding, and some labels.

Situated on the right are its volume buttons and sleep/wake button that also acts as a fingerprint scanner.

At the top are the IR blaster and secondary microphone.

Found at the bottom are the loudspeaker, USB Type-C port, main microphone, and a hybrid dual SIM card slot.

Upfront, we have the 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution which is equal to 402PPI. It has a hole punch on the upper right for the selfie camera. For protection, it is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The display has relatively slim bezels which make the viewing experience immersive. The quality is superb, with rich and punchy colors with deep blacks. It is also bright at 800 nits, so using the Mi 11 Lite under direct sunlight isn’t a big problem.

Going back to the cameras, we have three cameras at the back consisting of a 64MP F1.8 main, 8MP F2.2 ultrawide, and 5MP F2.4 macro. For selfies, we have a 16MP F2.5 shooter. Check out these sample photos.
