Following Verizon’s decision to close the door for Yahoo Groups last year, the 19-year-old discussion platform will finally close down on December 15, 2020.
Informing its avid users of the message, Verizon sent out emails to all its Yahoo Groups users while also leaving the same information on the actual Yahoo Groups website.
Despite its long staying power, Yahoo Groups has seen massive loss of users throughout the years as many have made a switch to social media or a more modern version of similar platforms, like Reddit, Facebook Groups, and Google Groups.
