An Apple iPhone 6s fell off at a height of 2,000 feet from the sky and was surprisingly found undamaged on land.

Brazilian filmmaker, Ernesto Galiotto, was recording a video of his flight over Cabo Frio beach in Rio de Janeiro when a strong flow of wind snatched the iPhone 6s off of his hand.

At the time of the incident, the said device is only equipped with a silicone case and a screen protector, which, at best, is only sufficient to safeguard the smartphone from scratch.

Using the “Find My” app, the moviemaker has managed to locate his device—fortunately, not in waters, but in the middle of the beach.

Galiotto’s is not necessarily the first case of an iPhone 6s having withstood a free fall. Just last year, a photographer who was flying over South Iceland experienced a similar accident but took 13 months later for the device to be recovered by a passing hiker—to a mostly working condition.
