realme has just launched its latest midrange phones, the realme 8 and the realme 8 Pro in India. The Pro model sports a massive 108MP main camera.
The two start at INR 15,000 (Php 10,100) and INR 18,000 (Php 12,100), respectively.
The realme 8 features a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. It is powered by gaming chip MediaTek Helio G95 with 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB models.
At the back is a 64MP main camera with an 8MP ultra-wide, a couple of 2MP sensors for macro and B/W. While at the front sits a 16MP selfie camera on a small punch hole in the corner.

The phone also features a 5000mAh battery with a 30W Dart Charge fast charging.
The realme 8 Pro, on the other hand, is headlined by its massive 108MP camera with a 1/1.52″ sized Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor. The impressive snapper has a maximum resolution of 12000 x 9000. It uses 9-in-1 pixel binning technology to create clear and vivid images.
Inside, the phone is also powered by a gaming processor, but from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G in 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants. It has a 4500mAh battery with a speedy 50W SuperDart Charge fast charging.
The 8 Pro also has a 6.4-inch FHD AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits.

An special variant with an Illuminating Yellow colorway with glowing accents was announced, which will be available on a later date.
The realme 8 has an India price of INR 14,999 for the 4GB + 128GB, INR 15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB, and INR 16,999 for the 8GB + 128GB. Converted to Philippine currency, that’s around Php 10,100, Php 10,700, and Php 11,400, respectively.
The realme 8 Pro, on the other hand, has an India price of INR 17,999 for the 6GB + 128GB, and INR 19,999 for the 8GB + 128GB — which is around Php 12,100 and Php 13,400, respectively.
While there’s no news yet if we’ll see these in the Philippines, its highly likely that it will launch here.
