The realme C11 is one of the most competitive smartphones in the market with its very capable specs and low price. While we see smartphones as communication and entertainment devices, they’re also good for education. Here are the features why the realme C11 is a good and affordable smartphone for online learning.
The realme C11 has a large 6.5-inch IPS Mini-drop fullscreen with an HD+ resolution with a good 88.7% screen-to-body ratio and a tiny notch. Colors are nice and vibrant and have enough brightness to handle the bright outdoors. What this means is that students won’t have problems viewing online learning materials such photos and videos. Zoom calls shouldn’t be a problem as well for a screen this big.
When it comes to online learning, audio is equally important. You need to be able to hear your lessons with ease. The good thing about the realme C11 is it has a loud and clear down-firing speaker which is good enough for watching videos or Zoom calls. And if you need to listen to your lessons privately, the realme C11 features a 3.5mm headphone jack, so you can use your favorite wired headphones or the one included in the package.
Cameras in smartphones are mostly used for taking photos and videos that will be uploaded to social media. But since we’re transitioning to online learning, the cameras have proved to be essential. In the case of the realme C11, it has three in total — there’s the 5MP selfie camera, which is important for Zoom calls and other video conference platforms, and the 13MP+ 2MP dual-rear cameras, which students will find useful for taking photos of physical worksheets for submission to their teachers online.
Powering the realme C11 is a MediaTek Helio G35 with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The Helio G35 is marketed as a chipset for mainstream gaming smartphones, so yes, you can play light games on it, but the performance also ensures that it can run your educational apps with ease. And when work is done, you can go back to playing games or other apps that you might have for some rest and entertainment.
As mentioned in the title, the realme C11 is also positioned for online learning purposes and it’s good to know that it offers plenty of connectivity for an entry-level device. It has 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, and microUSB. Need to use mobile data? The device has a triple card tray so you can use two SIM cards from different networks, and a microSD card for expanding your built-in storage.
Online classes can take hours and it’s one activity where you don’t want to be interrupted especially with a low battery charge. The realme C11 solves that concern with a massive 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging. In our review, we got to days of battery life, while our video loop test got a total of 25 hours and 31 minutes of playback, which is impressive. We’re pretty sure that you’ll have plenty of juice left on the realme C11 even after hours of online classes in the day.
The realme C11 is one of the company’s most affordable smartphones right now at PHP 4,990. This is a reasonable alternative to students on a budget that are looking for a device for online learning purposes. With this price tag, you’re getting a device that you can use for work and play without breaking the bank.
