In November 2020, realme became the world’s fastest growing smartphone brand, achieving over 50 million in smartphone sales in just two years of business. The company plans to continue its historic growth, promising to expand its portfolio by launching over 100 AIoT and lifestyle products in 2021.

realme Vice President and CEO of realme India Medhav Sheth said as much. “2021 is going to be an even more thrilling year for our AIoT segment as we plan to launch more than 100 products,” said Sheth.

The company has already launched several affordable AIoT products last year, including (but not limited to) smartwatches, sports bands, truly wireless earbuds, a smart camera, a sonic electric toothbrush, a smart scale, a smart TV, and more. This year, we’ll see several new devices such as smart speakers, air purifiers, and air conditioners, to name a few.

In fact Q1 2020 is going to be quite interesting, as realme plans to launch the next generation of the Buds Air and a smart bulb.

In the Philippines, realme is the number one smartphone brand with an impressive triple digit growth in Q3 2020. According to a report from IDC, the company’s local office achieved 962.5 percent annual growth with over 25.4 percent of the local market share in Q3. Meanwhile, Canalys further solidified realme’s dominance with a reported 25 percent market share and 531 percent year-on-year growth.

With their plans to launch over 100 AIoT products, realme will likely retain its position as the number one brand, not only in smartphones, but in the smart device space as well.
