ByteDance, Ltd., the same company behind the creation of the popular app, TikTok, has signed up to co-publish Ragnarok X: Next Generation, GRAVITY Co., Ltd. announced.

The partnership will see ByteDance, Ltd. working side-by-side with GRAVITY’s own subsidiary companies, namely Gravity Communications Co., Ltd. (Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) and Gravity Game Tech Co., Ltd. (Southeast Asia).

The announcement also comes in light with the planned release of Ragnarok X: Next Generation public release and throughout Southeast Asia.

To those who are unaware, Ragnarok X: Next Generation is the same Ragnarok-based mobile title released in China last year, with the addition of “X” being only for unique labelling.

Ragnarok X: Next Generation is a mobile MMORPG game being developed by Gravity as well as Shanghai the Dream Network Technology Co., Ltd. and is slated for release in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan on the second half of 2020. International release date is still unknown.
