With many players showing growing dissatisfaction with Cyberpunk 2077’s release on console, CD Projekt Red acknowledges the complaint and makes up for the fault by issuing refunds as well as a promise for future updates.

The issues presented were an undeniable fact that CDPR had no choice but to admit to it and finds resolve in giving back the money of its dissatisfied customers as well as double-down on addressing the game’s many lingering issues with both minor and major updates.

Despite an extensive development period, including delays, Cyberpunk 2077 has had a spotty launch that sees the game suffering from bugs, unstable framerates, and game crashes. While the issues were present on all versions of the game, the console releases make for a truly contentious case, no less aggravated by the poorer visual fidelity relative to the PC version.

As of writing, there’s not yet a “next-gen” release for Cyberpunk 2077, which means that those who are playing the game on either PS5 or Xbox Series X/S are literally experiencing a “last-gen,” backward-compatible title.
