The social media went on a meltdown last November 17 when Converge subscribers nationwide experienced outages.
Converge ICT explained that it was due to a power-issue in their Data Center. The internet connection was gradually restored to its subscribers hours after that.
To prevent this from happening again, Converge ICT CEO Dennis Anthony Uy is planning to build a secondary data center. Interestingly, it appears that they are targeting to finish the project before the year ends.
In a statement, Uy said that they immediately rolled out 45 million new cables to bypass the route to fix the outages last November 17.
As a result, their management team then decided to create another data center to prevent the same problem from happening in the future.

The secondary data center will serve as a backup/redundancy site in case a problem with the main data center occurs again in the future. As per the CEO, their long term goal is to give protection and redundancy to all their networks.
Converge CEO aims to complete the new data center before Christmas.
