Chinese smartphone maker OPPO announced that it is dropping the price of its latest midrange contender, the Reno 3.
Launched only in April this year, the device now retails for only Php17,990, Php1,000 less than its 18,990 original price tag.
To recall, the Reno 3 has a 6.4-inch, 60Hz screen. At the center is a waterdrop notch for the 44-megapixel front camera. Meanwhile, at the back is the quad-camera setup with a 48-megapixel main sensor. The other rear cameras include a 13-megapixel telephoto lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 2-megapixel monochrome lens.

In terms of performance, it comes powered by a MediaTek Helio P90 paired with PowerVR GM 9446 GPU. It also features an 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The OPPO Reno 3 uses an underwhelming 4,025mAh battery with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging. The company claims that VOOC 3.0 can charge the phone from 0 to 75% in as fast as 30 minutes.
With the price drop of the Reno 3, does this also mean that a new Reno smartphone is coming in the market real soon? Guess, we’ll just have to wait.
