Globe strengthens its initiative for 5G connectivity. The telco has recently shared that its current LTE SIMs are 5G-ready.
As the next generation of wireless internet connectivity, 5G allows subscribers to stream
movies and TV shows with fewer lags, play immersive online games at the highest quality, and provide the clearest resolution for video chats.
Globe and TM subscribers with current prepaid and postpaid LTE SIM cards may enjoy 5G without paying any additional fees or upgrading their SIM cards.
Globe said that current LTE SIMs on sale across all Globe stores, the online shop, official dealers, and resellers will be replaced with the new 5G SIMs.
The telco is also offering 5G smartphones bundles with postpaid plans from various price points.
Currently, Globe 5G connectivity may be enjoyed by postpaid subscribers in select locations in Metro Manila specifically in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Valero Street in Makati, as well as in Rockwell Center and Gen. Malvar in Ortigas.
Globe also announced that it will add more areas to support 5G connectivity and will bring it to prepaid subscribers.
