Infinix did a decent job at building the Note 7. It has geometric accents with color gradient/dual-tone paint job inside a plastic-like material. It looks cool and all, but this type of design is starting to look old.
On the other hand, Realme came up with a brand new look with the Realme 6i — just like what they do on their every release, so every Realme device looks unique.
It has bamboo-like look created by a renowned designer. Also, unlike the former, this one has a smoked finish, which makes it resistant to fingerprint marks and smudges.
As for the build, both devices are predominantly made of plastic, with Corning Gorilla Glass protection on the front. The Realme 6i has CGG3, while the version used on the Note 7 was not mentioned.
But we do appreciate the punch-hole on the Note 7’s screen, giving a much cleaner and modern look.
Here’s an easy win for the Infinix Note 7. It has a 6.95-inch screen, which is larger than the 6.52-inch screen of the latter. But both of them do use IPS panels with HD+ resolutions.
Infinix also went above and beyond by adding a stereo speaker setup on the Note 7. It should make gaming and watching videos more immersive. A rare feature on entry-level smartphones.
On paper, the Helio G80 processor of the Realme 6i is newer and more powerful, which shows in synthetic benchmarks. But, its scores is almost equal to the Helio G70 of the Infinix Note 7. They even use the same Mali-G52 GPU, so gaming performance should also feel the same.
In fact, you might get better performance with the Infinix Note 7. It comes with 6GB of RAM, while the Realme 6i starts at only 3GB and maxes out at 4GB. Also, it already has 128GB of RAM, while the Realme 6i starts at only 64GB.
The Infinix Note 7 also has dual-band WiFi. But on the downside, it still relies on microUSB, while the Realme 6i managed to have USB Type-C.
Both devices have the same 48-megapixel main cameras, 16-megapixel selfie, 2-megapixel macro, and 2-megapixel depth cameras.
However, we gotta hand the win to the Realme 6i for its 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, which should be more useful than the dedicated low-light video camera that the Infinix device have.

Both devices have the same 5,000mAh battery that should easily last for a day or two. Plus, chargers with 18W of power that should provide 100% charge in two hours or less.
However, the Realme 6i gets a one-up with the reverse charging feature. It essentially lets you use the phone as a power bank — via an OTG cable — to share power with friends or your other gadgets.
It’s really hard to choose between the two. With the Realme 6i, you’re getting more modern features like the newer Helio G80 chipset, USB Type-C, reverse charging, and an ultra-wide camera. Plus, we really did like it in our hands-on review.
However, the Infinix Note 7 do come with features that you won’t find on the Realme 6i — and possibly other devices at this price. There’s the larger 6GB of RAM, 128GB storage, and stereo speakers. All for the identical price of Php7,999.
You’d be losing the ultra-wide camera, but you can still have similar performance (possibly better with its larger RAM) and recharge using the included microUSB cable.
