Infinix has launched its latest, mid-range smartphone, the Infinix Zero 8. The company has been on a streak putting out some solid performing devices at more affordable price tags compared to other competitors, and this one is no exception. Anyway, let’s not waste any more time. Let’s check this guy out.

We have to give it to these guys for the really eye-catching packaging that trickles down all the way to the actual device itself.  The unit that we have here comes in the Black Diamond color variant, but it shows a slight blue tinge under certain lighting scenarios. We have a polycarbonate glossy rear panel with this interesting V-shaped design, with one side having a more holographic reflection than the other.

It compliments that sweet-looking diamond-shaped camera module housing all your shooting paraphernalia that does protrude just a bit, but nothing the free jelly case can’t fix. It also feels good to hold, although this will definitely be much better for two-handed use.

On the left side sits the Triple card tray, while on the right are your volume rocker keys, along with the power button that doubles as a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

There’s nothing on the top of the phone, but at the bottom, we are greeted with your USB Type-C port, single bottom-firing speakers, your microphone, and a 3.5mm jack, which is always a treat to have still.

Taking a quick look at the screen, we’re getting a massive 6.85-inch FHD+ display with a screen refresh rate of 90Hz, which is a good enough jump from 60Hz in terms of gaming and on-screen animations. We can also bid a farewell to the dated notches, as we’re getting a more modern pill-shaped front camera cutout on the top left corner. The Zero 8 also has very minimal bezels, with the bottom being the thickest, but even, so it still boasts quite an impressive looking front-end.

Quickly heading over to the cameras, we’re getting a quad-shooter setup going on over here. That’s a 64MP Sony IMX 686 main sensor, an 8MP for ultrawide, a 2MP depth sensor, and another 2MP sensor for what could be another lens for depth sensing, while at the very bottom sits the quad LED-flash module.

At the front of the phone, you can find those dual cameras boasting a 48MP main and 8MP ultra-wide selfie shooter. Check out the samples below:
