A new phone has been added to Motorola’s Moto G series of smartphones—the Moto G100. Like other entries in the series before it, the newly launched Moto G100 comes with solid upper midrange features despite being having a lower price than similarly specced devices.

For starters, the Moto G100 is the first in the series to sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 chipset. The phone will also have 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, and microSD card expansion. As for the display, there’s a 6.7-inch IPS LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and 1080p resolution.

Further adding to the Motorola Moto G100’s value is its dual-front facing camera, the main sensor of which comes with 16-megapixel resolution. At the back, there’s a four-camera system: a 64-megapixel primary sensor along with other sensors for ultra-wide shots, depth, and laser autofocus.

Capping the Moto G100 specs is a 5000mAh battery with a 20-watt fast charging capability. Connectivity features include USB Type-C 3.1, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.1. If this set of features seem familiar to you, that’s because the Moto G100 is more or less the Motorola Edge S that was first launched in China earlier this year.

The Moto G100 will first ship in Europe and Latin America for 499.99 euros (around Php28,600 before PH taxes).
